Amber Butenhoff currently serves as the assistant Coach for the SUNY New Paltz Softball team. She will be joining Game On 13 in 2017 where she will serve as a pitching, hitting, & fielding instructor.
Butenhoff originally hails from Port Jervis, N.Y. She graduated from NYIT with a degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2016. While at NYIT, Butenhoff hit .448 with 16 doubles, eight triples, 10 home runs and 24 RBIs in 172 at-bats with the Bears as a redshirt senior in 2016. Her .808 slugging percentage that year ranks second for a single season in NYIT program history.
Overall, Butenhoff's .404 career average and 11 triples rank first in program history. Prior to NYIT she played two seasons at SUNY Orange where she earned the Mid-Hudson Conference Player of the year in 2012 & 2013. She was also named Region XV Player of the Year in 2012. Prior to joinng the SUNY New Paltz coaching staff, Butenhoff served as Softball Director/Trainer for Hardball NY Training Center from 2015-2017.
