Eric Holtz-Director of Player Development Downstate

Fury Baseball was created in 2014 by Eric Holtz.  Eric has always had an incredible passion for the game.  Born in the Bronx, heard stories of The Babe and Lou Gehrig from his dad and fell in love at an early age.  Eric played college ball at Dean JC for 2 years and decided to start a career.  He has been coaching at various levels for decades.  Eric served as Assistant Coach at Manhattanville College from 2004-2006, followed by a year of softball at Manhattanville in which they won the Skyline Conference.  In 2007, he served as hitting coach at WCC until 2012 when he decided to take a step away to spend more time coaching his son.  Eric was drafted and played one year in the IBL (2007) and served as a player/coach (3B/P) winning the Inaugural Championship for the Bet Shemesh Blue Sox.    He was Assistant Coach of the 2013 Gold Medal USA team in the Maccabiah in Israel.  He was the Head Coach for the 2017 Gold Medal winning team and was named Head Coach of the Israel Senior National Team where they lost in the European Championship to Austria in January.  He is in the process of helping Israel quality for the 2020 Olympic Games and will remain at the helm of Team Israel through the 2020 games in Japan.

Fury Baseball will continue to grow and prosper from Ages 8 to 14.

Our Joint Purpose/Mission is to develop our players, not just skill set wise for baseball, but to mold and prepare them to make them better human beings by teaching core values. To provide an elite baseball experience with premier, professional and high level coaching. We will showcase our players both regionally and nationally in front of college & pro scouts and they will be given EVERY opportunity to gain a College roster spot as well as to earn potential scholarship money. We will Never sacrifice exposure for the sake of a win.

The reason behind the merger is to identify, train and prepare each individual for the recruiting process with the Best Coaching, recruiting tools and Exposure that we can offer. This is NOT for the “Partially Committed” player. This is for the player that is waking up doing well in school, coming home and working on their game every day to hone the skills necessary to play at the next level.

Fury Coaches along with N.E. Pride Coaches and Staff will work hand in hand to ensure the Best baseball Experience for your son.
