White Plains native, Dena was a four year varsity starter at White Plains High School. While there she received several recognitions including All-League, All-Section, and All- County. Upon graduating she went on to play NCAA Division II softball at Concordia College in Bronxville, NY. 

She was a four year starter as the Clippers’ second baseman and leadoff hitter. Throughout high school and college Dena coached for various teams and age groups. Her passion for softball led her into the fitness industry. She is currently a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified Personal Trainer.
