A native of Eastchester, NY, Nick Campana is currently an Independent Professional Baseball Player for the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers in the United Shores Professional Baseball League. After being a four-year starter as Division 1 school University of Hartford, Nick put together one of the most decorated seasons in Hartford Baseball History, including All-American honors to lead Hartford to their first ever America East Conference title. He joined Hall-of-Famer Jeff Bagwell and former teammate David MacKinnon in earning Player of the Year accolades.
In 2018, Campana led Division 1 hitters in average for a majority of the season, ending up in the top 20 hitting .385. Leading his team with 80 hits,10 homeruns, 17 doubles, slugging .611, with 127 total bases and 22 stolen bases, Campana went on to earn other accolades besides All-American including 2018 America East Conference First Team, ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division 1 All-Northeast First Team, as well as becoming the record holder at Hartford for stolen bases and total bases.
This past summer, Campana joined the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers in July helping them reach the number one seed in the playoffs and helping them win their second straight USPBL title. In just 90 at bats, Campana hit 3 homeruns, 6 doubles and 21 RBI’s and went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s in the championship game. Nick has a strong passion for the game of baseball. His high school coach, Dom Cecere was a huge mentor in his life, teaching him different aspects of the game and not only teaching about baseball, but about life. Nick wants to help carry on Cecere’s great name through himself, teaching the game of baseball as well as helping people reach their full potential in life.
