STEPHEN PINTO

TRAINER

Former Division III collegiate baseball player from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.  Throughout Steve's sophomore to senior sessions at Manhattanville, he achieved 1st Team All Conferences for the Skyline & Middle Atlantic Freedom Conference seasons as well as a spot on the All-Region Team. During his senior campaign, we was awarded Conference Player of the Year and the National Gold Glove Award for the Outfield, which is awarded to the three best defensive outfielders in Division III.

Steve's baseball career continued after college when signing his first professional baseball contract with The American Defenders of New Hampshire in the Canadian American Baseball League.  During the off-season, Steve underwent shoulder labrum surgery, which temporarily halted his playing career.  Although he was not playing, he took advantage of the off time started his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Manhattanville College.  At Manhattanville, he worked with both the hitters & the outfielders in all aspects of their games.

In 2011, Steve signed a contract to play with the New York Federals of the CanAm League.  Since then he has focused on the training of younger ball players at every layer.

Whether on or off the field, Steve's heart has & always will be in the game of baseball.  He enjoys nothing more than coaching players at every level because he remembers that was once there & always took advantage of someone who was willing to teach him.  He wants to continue to pass along the knowledge of what he learned from his mentors and help the next generation of ballplayers succeed!
